Data analysis by
using Mean Median and Mode
In quantitative data analysis to get accurate results researchers
find out Mean Median and Mode of data. Here I will describe how we can find out
Mean Median and Mode of collected data.
Mean:
Mean is basically the sum of Total data divided by the
number of data.
Mean Formula=Sum of Total data/Total number of data.
For example, = [20+10+60+5+5/5]
=100/5
Mean
=20
Median:
To find out median it is necessary to arrange data in Ascending
or numerical order. Then find out the middle value. It will be the Median of
data.
For example, in this data set = [5,5,10, 20, 60]
Median
= 10
If the data contains two medians. We will take average of
both numbers. The average of these both numbers will be the median of the data
set.
Mode:
The value that occurs most frequently is called mode. It is
not necessary all data sets contain mode.
For example, in this data set = [5,5,10, 20, 60]
Mode = 5
